Human depravity is the universal condition of sin, moral corruption, and alienation from God. It means that people cannot save themselves or earn righteousness, but it does not mean that they are unable to understand or respond to the Gospel.

Human responsibility is the accountability people have to respond to God's revealed will and to answer for their choices. It includes responsibility to believe, repent, obey, and turn from sin when God makes his will known.
